Worship & Prayer

There are a variety of regular services held in the benefice each week.

Sunday

On the first Sunday of each month there is a shorter Family Eucharist at Bury that is suitable for people of all ages.

On the second and fourth Sundays of the month the mid-morning Eucharist is at St Giles’ church in Coldwaltham. This is a traditional service with choir.

On the third Sunday there is a traditional Sung Eucharist at St John’s in Bury.

For those who prefer a quiet Book of Common Prayer Communion service, this is celebrated at 8.00 am on the second and fourth Sundays of the month in Bury and, in the summer months, Houghton.

If the early morning is not for you, but you would still like a service taken from the Church of England’s Book of Common Prayer, then Hardham is the place for you.

Please remember to click on the link above for the details of all these services!

Mid-week

On Thursdays at 9.30 am there is a quiet Eucharist at St Giles church. Following the service a Coffee Shop is open in nearby Sandham Hall.
